Japan Point Membership Rules

Article 0 Definitions

For the purpose of this Japan Point Membership Rules (the “Rules”), the following definitions apply to:

  1. App: Japan Point mobile app;
  2. Company: LOGICO Pte. Ltd. a limited liability Company duly incorporated under the laws of Singapore and having its registered address at 137 TELOK AYER STREET #05-07 SINGAPORE 068602;
  3. Japan Point Outlet: Any service provider specified by the Company such as retails, restaurants, caters, distributors, etc;
  4. Japan Point Terms of Use: the terms and conditions stipulated in regard to the provision of the Services by the Company to Members;
  5. Member: Any individual that has agreed with this Rules and has been registered for Japan Point member in accordance with the predetermined procedures;
  6. Service: Any services provided to Members by the Company via Japan Point mobile app;
  7. Transaction: Any activity conducted by a Member via the App and Japan Point Outlet such as, but not limited to searching shops, making reservations, uploading of receipts, earning points, purchasing points, collecting rewards, purchasing products on any website, etc.

Ariticle 1 Japan Point Membership

  1. A Member can use any of the Service available on the App under the terms and conditions set forth by the Company. The Member may be required to register in order to use some of Services as specified by the Company. The Member will be required to participate in the Japan Point program pursuant to the Japan Point Terms and Use.
  2. A Member may not transfer, sublease, pledge, or dispose of his/her membership status and rights granted by the Company via use of the Services in any form whatsoever.

Article 2 Application

This Rules apply to all Members and must be observed at the time they sign up for membership and after they have been registered as a Member.

Article 3 Member Registration

  1. Member qualification
    Any individual who has agreed to these rules and applied for membership according to the prescribed procedure will be granted membership upon completion of the specified registration procedure. Membership registration must be done by an individual who wishes to become a Member. Registration by proxy is not permitted. The Company reserves the right to deny membership to individuals whose membership has been revoked in the past or those who for any reason are deemed unqualified for membership by the Company. II.
  2. Entering Member Data
    When registering for membership, the registrant must correctly enter the required accurate, complete, and updated information in the Japan Point mobile app form after having carefully read the instructions.
  3. Facebook Connect
    By means of Facebook Connect API, you may log in to the site (which shall mean [ https://www.facebook.com/ ]) using your Facebook account. By accessing the site using your Facebook account, you authorise us to
    1. retrieve the photo image and display name associated with your Facebook account for display on the Member's Profile section of the Site; and
    2. display posts within your Facebook account to reflect any reviews, articles or events you submit to the site so that your friends on Facebook will be aware of your views. Apart from the 2 activities described above, the Company will not otherwise retrieve or post any other information or data from or to your Facebook account. Further, we shall not be responsible for any changes to the features, functionality or terms that govern your Facebook account as these are controlled by Facebook, not us.

Article 4 User ID and Password Management

  1. The Member agrees to maintain his/her user ID and password without disclosing it to any third party and shall be responsible for taking necessary measures such as changing his/her user ID and password on a regular basis. Upon confirmation via the prescribed method that the user ID and password entered matches those that have been registered by the Member, shall regard such access to have been made by the said Member and shall not be held liable for any damage arising from any unauthorized use of the Member's user ID and password or for any other reasons.
  2. Each Member is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the account and password and for restricting access to the individual’s computer, and the individual agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under the individual’s account or password. The Company reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel reservations in its sole discretion

Article 5 Change of Registered Information

When there are any changes to his/her registered information, the Member shall immediately update his/her registration. The Company shall not be held liable for any damage caused as a result of the Member's failure to update his/her registration information. Any Transactions completed before making changes to the registration information will be based on the prior information provided by the Member. The Member is responsible for directly contacting the Company to notify it of any changes to his/her registration information if necessary.

Article 6 Cancellation of Membership

If any Member wishes to cancel his/her membership please contact to support@japan-point.com. Membership will be cancelled upon completion of the prescribed cancellation procedure. To cancel the membership, please provide the following information.

  • Your name, address, telephone number, and ID number.
  • A copy of your official ID, such as your passport.
  • Details of the information you wish to amend or delete.

Article 7 Disclaimer

  1. The Member will contact the Company whenever he/she wishes to make an inquiry about the Company, a Transaction with the Company, its products and Services, contents and descriptions, privacy policy, and any other matter concerning the Company. The Company makes no warranties for authenticity, accuracy, currentness, usability, reliability, legality or non-infringement of third party rights with respect to Services.
  2. The Company will not be liable for any damage caused by any system interruption, delay, suspension, or data loss due to connection or computer failure, unauthorized access to data, and any other damage caused to the Member relating to the use of the Services provided by the Company.
  3. The Company makes no warranties that e-mail content sent from the Company, Group's server, or domain will be free of any computer virus or any other harmful elements.
  4. The Company makes no warranties that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations.
  5. The Company will not be liable for the consequences of any information or advice it may occasionally provide to Members.
  6. The Company will not be liable for any damage caused by the Member's infringement of this Rules.

Article 8 Prohibition

When using the Services, the Member agrees not to:

  1. violate public laws, including but not limited to, this Rules and the Japan Point Terms of Use;
  2. harm the rights, interests, or reputation of the Group, Service Providers, or third parties;
  3. engage in activities that may cause mental and physical harm to minors, or offend public order and morals;
  4. engage in activities that cause a nuisance or offend other users or third parties;
  5. provide false information;
  6. send or post any harmful computer programs or e-mail messages;
  7. illegally access the Company’s server or computer; or
  8. lend or give its user ID and password to a third party or share them with a third party

Article 9 Posting by third parties and Hyperlinks to Third Party Websites

  1. The App may contain hyperlinks to other websites which are neither maintained nor controlled by the Company, or may contain contents posted on or via the App by third parties. Therefore, the Company shall not be responsible for any errors or omissions in any contents in the App, or the content, products or services of any hyperlinked website or any hyperlink contained in a hyperlinked web site, nor for the privacy and security practices employed by these other websites, and shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content, whether in human or machine readable form, posted or contained in e-mails or howsoever otherwise transmitted or displayed via the App, or arising from access to those websites. Use of the Site and any hyperlinks and access to such hyperlinked websites are entirely at Member’s own risk.
  2. The Member shall acknowledge that the Company has no control over and excludes all liability for any material on the Internet. Neither can the Company be deemed to have endorsed the content.
  3. Clearance may not be obtained from the owners of any trademarks or copyrighted materials whose marks and materials are included in third party material. Therefore, the Member shall be solely responsible for obtaining any and all necessary releases from whatever individuals and/or entities necessary for any uses of AFP material.

Article 10 Handling of the Member's Personal Information

The Company will handle personal information in strict accordance with its Privacy Policy and the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (No. 26 of 2012)

Article 11 Use of Services

Prior to using any of the Services, the Member must agree to the Japan Point Terms of Use.

Article 12 Suspension or Discontinuation of Services

The Company may suspend or discontinue the provision of Services, in whole or in part, or take necessary measures without prior notice in order to maintain the quality of the Services in the event of any of the following that: the Company implements regular or emergency systems maintenance; systems overload; the Company sees any possible risk of Services interruption; in order to ensure the security of the Member; or whenever deemed necessary. The Company shall not be liable for any damage caused to any Member due to such suspension or discontinuation of the Services.

Article 13 Suspension of services and Cancellation of Membership

  1. The Company reserves the right to suspend the use of Services by a specific Member, change his/her user ID and password, or cancel his/her membership without prior notice in any of the following circumstances. The Company shall not be liable for any damage caused to the Member due to such action.
    1. i. The Member violates the law or any of these and other rules.
    2. The Member abuses any of the Services.
    3. The security of the Member must be ensured in certain circumstances such as when an incorrect password is entered consecutively in excess of the specified number of times a password can be reentered.
    4. In any other circumstances that the Company deems such action necessary.
  2. The Company reserves the right to change the Member's user ID and password, or cancel his/her membership without prior notice when he/she does not log in at the specified frequency within the period specified by the Company.

Article 14 Changes or Abolition of Services

The Company reserves the right to change or abolish the Services, in whole or in part, at its discretion.

Article 15 Revision to These Rules

The Company may revise any or all of these rules. When any revision or addition is made to these rules, the revised and/or amended rules will go into effect as soon as they are posted on the App.

Article 16 Governing Law and Dispute Settlement

  1. This Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
  2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Contract, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be exclusively referred to and finally resolved by the Court of Singapore.

Japan Point Terms of Use

Article 0 Definitions

For the purpose of this Japan Point Terms of Use (the “Terms of Use”), the following definitions apply to:

  1. App: Japan Point mobile app;
  2. Company: LOGICO Pte. Ltd. a limited liability Company duly incorporated under the laws of Singapore and having its registered address at 137 TELOK AYER STREET #05-07 SINGAPORE 068602;
  3. Japan Point Outlet: Any service provider specified by the Company such as retails, restaurants, caters, distributors, etc;
  4. Member: Any individual that has agreed with the Japan Point Membership Rules (the "Rules") and has been registered for Japan Point member in accordance with the predetermined procedure
  5. Service: Any services provided to Member by the Company via the App
  6. Transaction: Any activity conducted by a Member via the App and Japan Point Outlet such as, but not limited to, searching shops, making reservations, uploading of receipts, earning points, purchasing points, collecting rewards, purchasing products on any website, etc.

Article 1 Objective

  1. This Terms of Use specified herein stipulate the terms and conditions in regard to the provision of the Service by the Company to any individual who has registered for Member in accordance with the Rules.
  2. This Terms of Use shall apply to any matter related to the Service that is not explicitly stipulated in this Terms of Use.

Article 2 Awarding of Points

  1. The company will award points to a Member via the App ONLY IF the Member makes a purchase or uses a Service ON THEIR OWN at Japan Point Outlet.
  2. The Company will specify Japan Point Outlet, Service, and Transaction where Members can earn points, the percentage rate of points to be awarded, as well as other conditions for awarding points. Whether a specific Transaction qualifies for points, as well as the percentage rates of points to be awarded and expiration date of points may vary depending on the merchant, type of Transaction, or type of Service used.
  3. Points will be awarded after a certain period of time as specified by the Company. In the event that the Company confirms that a reward has been cancelled or any of the products purchased have been returned, points will not be awarded. In the event that the value of the purchase has changed after it has taken place, points will be given based on the revised value.
  4. The Company will make the final decision on whether or not to award points for each Transaction, the number of points to be awarded, and other matters related to awarding of points. The Member will abide by its decision.

Article 3 Management of Points

  1. The Company will notify Members of the number of points they have earned, used as well as their points balance and/or expiration date of points via a method specified by the Company.
  2. Should any Member have a question concerning the number of points described in the preceding paragraph, said Member could contact the Company regarding the matter.
  3. The Company will make the final decision concerning the number of points described in Paragraph I of Article 3, and the Member shall abide by its decision.

Article 4 Combining Points and Multiple Accounts

  1. No Member may transfer or pledge his/her points to another Member, nor share them with other Members. The points earned are strictly non-transferrable.
  2. Members with multiple accounts may not combine the points they have accumulated in their multiple accounts.

Article 5 Cancellation and Expiration of Points

  1. The Company reserves the right to cancel points that have been awarded without consideration, (i) when the merchandise purchased under a reward is returned, (ii) when the order placed under a reward is cancelled, or (iii) whenever the Company deems it appropriate.
  2. The Company reserves the right to cancel points accumulated by the Member without consideration, either in whole or in part, without prior notice in any of the following circumstances:
    a) The Member violates the law or engages in a fraudulent activity;
    b) The Member breaches any of the provisions set forth in this Terms of Use, the Rules, or any other rules specified by the Company;
    c) Any other circumstances where the Company deems it appropriate to cancel points that have been awarded to the Member;
    d) Point will expire upon expiry date specified by the Company. Upon the expiry date, unused point/s will be forfeited without any prior notice.
  3. The Company will assume no responsibility whatsoever for cancelled or expired points, and will not compensate the Member for any loss of these cancelled or expired points.

Article 6 Redeeming Points

  1. The Member can exchange the accumulated Japan Points for, but limited to, prizes, services, or other rewards.
  2. The Company will specify and announce the rewards for which the Member can redeem via the App or other methods specified by the Company.
  3. The Company will determine the types of rewards and the number of points needed to exchange for rewards. The Company reserves the right to update, change or terminate these terms and conditions at any time.
  4. In an event where the Company is unable to provide a specific reward item requested by the Member due to, including but not limited to, shortage, dissolution of a partnership, or other reason/s, the Company will ask the Member to choose another item from the available rewards or refund the points to the Member.
  5. The Company will neither compensate nor assume any responsibility whatsoever for any loss caused to the Member due to the circumstances described in the preceding paragraph.
  6. When redeeming points, the Member agrees to provide the Company with his/her mailing address for sending rewards, contact information, and other information specified by the Company. The Company will determine how to deliver the rewards. The Company will not ship rewards to overseas addresses, anyone other than a Member, or post office boxes.
  7. Some of the rewards may be provided by companies affiliated with the Company. In such cases, terms and conditions for redeeming points shall be in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by these affiliated companies. The Company makes no warranties of the quality or availability of rewards. Should any defect be found in the said rewards, the Member agrees to seek resolution with the affiliated company that has provided and shipped the said rewards.
  8. No Member may return or exchange rewards unless the reason for such return or exchange is due to the fault of the party providing the rewards.

Article 7 Accident

The Company will assume no responsibility whatsoever for any accident arising with regard to rewards, including but not limited to delay, loss, theft, damage or breakage, either during transport or after provision, and will not return points that have been redeemed for said purchased products or rewards unless the said accident is due to the fault of the Company.

Article 8 Cancellation of Redeemed Points

In the event that points are cancelled, as described in the preceding paragraph, after they have been redeemed for rewards by a Member pursuant to Article 7, his/her request for rewards will be voided. If the Member has already received the said rewards, he/she must immediately return the rewards or pay an amount equivalent to the value of the rewards.

Article 9 No Cash Redemptions

No Member may exchange his/her points for cash under any circumstances.

Article 10 Use by Third Party

  1. Points may not be used by anyone other than the Member who owns them.
  2. Upon confirming that the user ID and password entered by the Member when using his/her Points matches those that have been registered by the Member, the Company shall regard such access to have been made by the said Member. The Company will not return points redeemed or will not be held liable for any damage caused to the Member as a result of any unauthorized use of the Member's user ID and password.

Article 11 Taxes and Expenses

The Member will be responsible for any taxes or expenses associated with his/her earning or using Points, or redeeming Points for Rewards.

Article 12 Revocation or Termination of Membership

Any Member who has lost his/her membership will lose all of his/her points, the right to redeem points for rewards, and all other rights associated with the Service. The said Member will gain no rights to claim against the Company upon loss of his/her membership status.

Article 13 Disclaimer

The Company will do its best to ensure that operation of the Service employs the latest technological standards. However, the Company makes no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted. The Company will not be liable for any damage caused by any system interruption, delay, suspension, or data loss due to connection or computer failure, unauthorized access to data, and any other damage caused to the Member that is related to the Service.

Article 14 Modification to Service

  1. The Member agrees that the Company may change this Terms of Use, specifications of the Service, or terms and conditions of the Service (including but not limited to abolition of the points program, suspended provision of points, changes to Web sites or transactions covered under the Service, changes to the percentage rate of points to be awarded or redeemed), or terminate or suspend the Service without prior notice.
  2. The Company will not be responsible for any damage resulting from any change as described in the preceding paragraph.

Article 15 Governing Law and Dispute Settlement

  1. This Terms of Use shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Singapore.
  2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Terms of Use, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be exclusively referred to and finally resolved by the Court of Singapore.
